Abstract

The manual management of transactions and inventory poses challenges for traditional stores, including Aldy Jaya Store, which often faces issues such as recording errors, service delays, and the lack of real-time stock information. This study develops a web-based cashier application using the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (S-SDLC) approach to address these problems. The S-SDLC method ensures security integration at every stage of development from requirement analysis, design, development, testing, to deployment and maintenance. The application is built with the Laravel framework and MySQL database, while OWASP ZAP is utilized to detect vulnerabilities. SSL/TLS-supported hosting is implemented to secure data communication between users and the server. The results show that the web-based cashier application improves operational efficiency, reduces human errors, and provides accurate sales reports. The application facilitates better transaction and inventory management while ensuring data security and operational continuity. Regular security audits and user training are recommended to maintain optimal performance and address emerging security threats effectively.
