Aplikasi Karir Mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis

Abstract

Bengkalis State Polytechnic is the only vocational state university in Riau that is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture. This is why graduates have to work alone to find and look for job openings, and it takes time to get a job according to their area of expertise. Information on Polbeng job openings is shared via social media, such as Instagram, which is posted by the Unit Penunjang Akademik Penunjang Karir dan Kewirausahaan (UPAPKK). To overcome these problems, a website-based Bengkalis State Polytechnic student career application was developed. This application is made using the PHP programming language using the framework Laravel and MYSQL, which is used for database system management. Application testing is carried out using black box testing, where each feature is tested based on a different user side, such as the admin side, which can input job vacancies, add alumni, and add companies; from the company side, it can input job vacancies according to what is desired; view alumni data; and from the alumni side, you can view alumni data, company data, and job vacancy information. Application testing is carried out to test the features available in the application and ensure that it runs successfully and as desired.
