Abstract

The development of covid-19 in the world affects most parts of Indonesia, including the province of Riau. Riau has several islands that can prevent Covid-19 patients from making referrals for treatment to 2 hospitals in Riau, namely the city of Pekanbaru and the city of Dumai. For this reason, it is important to design a Covid-19 Patient Transport Ship which aims to facilitate the medical team in evacuating victims exposed to the Covid-19 virus in Riau Province, especially from Bengkalis Island. The design of this COVID-19 patient transporter ship consists of a Lines Plan and General Arrangement (GA) design in accordance with the handling of COVID-19 patients. The main dimensions of the ship are: LOA = 30 m, LWL = 27.7 m, LPP = 27 m, B = 7 m, H = 3.2 m, T = 0.9 m, Vs = 20 knots and can carry 3 patients people, doctors 2 people, nurses 4 people and crew 6 people. Ship design with the comparison ship method and the addition of semi-axe bow hull modification innovations. For determining ship resistance with savitsky planning. The results obtained in this study are the total resistance of 48 kN and the main engine selected is 2 units with a power of 750 HP each.
