Abstract

Reducing the volume of coarse aggregate in concrete without the addition of admixture
will result in a decrease in the compressive strength of concrete, while the addition of additives
will increase the workability of the concrete mixture which is characterized by an increase in
the slump value and produces denser concrete resulting in greater compressive strength, using
the SNI 03-2834-2000 method, conducted a study on the effect of reducing the percentage of
coarse aggregate volume in the concrete mixture on the compressive strength of normal
concrete with the addition of additives to the concrete fc' 20 Mpa. By using variations in the
reduction of the volume of coarse aggregate 0%, 10%, 20% and combined with the use of
additives 0% and 0.25%, the compressive strength of concrete decreases along with the
addition of reducing the volume of coarse aggregate for concrete without the addition of
additives, but with the addition of an additive 0.25% of the weight of cement, improves the
quality of concrete at the reduction of coarse aggregate 10% of the total weight of coarse
aggregate in the concrete mix.
