Abstract

This journal will simulate anti-icing on the propeller blades in 2D. The anti-icing system
used is the thermal electric method. Simulations were carried out at sea level, on the root blade
airfoil with variations ranging from -12° to +40° with an interval of 2°, except at -1° to +3°
which has an interval of 1°.
The process used to solve these problems is the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
method. The software used is Ansys Gambit and Ansys Fluent. Ansys Gambit is used to create
geometric objects, while Ansys Fluent is used to simulate the object. The results that will be
obtained from this simulation are aerodynamic coefficient curves to α,
