Abstract

The aircraft need a system that can control the distribution of fuel in each operation so that the supply of fuel produced is stable. Based on the results of research by Edgar Dale (1969), 90% of a person has the ability to absorb the object of knowledge by doing. This final project discusses the design and manufacture of aircraft fuel system fuel flow simulator using fluid flow directly. This final project has a goal to design and manufacture a fuel flow simulator in aircraft fuel systems as an alternative learning media. There are two methods used in completing this Final Project, namely analytical and experimental methods which consist of several stages including literature study, DRO determination, design and analysis, manufacturing process, component assembly, and tool testing. The result of this final project is the creation of a tool that will simulate the working mechanism of the aircraft fuel system using water as a substitute for fuel. It is hoped that this Final Project can be put to good use in the learning process about the fuel system on aircraft.
