ANALISA PENGARUH WAKTU DAN MEDIA PENDINGIN TERHADAP HASIL HASIL PENGELASAN SMAW BERDASARKAN UJI PENETRAN DAN KEKERASAN
The SMAW weld is aweld with electrcal crossbow used as heat resource to melt the metal (electrode). This research is for undestanding the type of weld disability and detecting the damage on each test based on cooling time and to find the hardness rate of a material after welding is done usung 90-current and electrode type E6013 with diameter 2,6 also using V hem on the material or base metal 60 degrees. This research uses experimental method to find the result of SMAW weld based on bpenetrant and hardness test so it may be found the quality of the product resulted by weld that is done also top understand the occured weld disability as a consideration of the weld result itself. The result of analysis thas chas been done by using hardness and penetrant test where the result of the hardness test with 60 kg load cooled by oil cooling-meddia with time variotion about 3 minutes, and 7 minutes, on third minute the resulted hardness rate is 19, 63 HBN, on fifih minutes the average hardness rate is 22,58. On the sevent minute the average hardness rate is 15,33 HBN. Meanwhile, the result of penetrant test on the type of weld disabiltty occuring to the weld result is typical weld disability lack of fusion and spatter.
