Abstract

The emergence of harmonics in the 3 phase system of the electro building is done reduction of spectrum harmonics and power losses by means of harmonic filter installation. The design of harmonic filters is very important so that in reducing harmonics can be maximized. In this final project the filter used is Single Tuned Filter. The design and installation of a single tuned harmonic filter is carried out in each phase. The design concept of this filter is, after knowing the source of harmonics and large THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) by using the power quality harmonic, then made is an LC filter with a series of inductors and capacitors by using a delta relationship installed on the source 3 phase electro building. From the results of testing the tools made, the results are close to the expected results, which can reduce harmonics but cannot match the standards set due to the quality of the components used. THD in the current has changed from (IL1 44.0%), (IL2 13.2%), (IL2 27.9%) to (IL1 27.3%), (IL2 15.1%), (IL2 20.7%), and for THD at the voltage experiencing difference only VL1 and VL3 and for VL2 did not experience changes (VL1 2.2%), (VL2 2.4%), (VL2 2.2%) Be (VL1 2.4%), (VL2 2.4%), (VL2 2.4%). By reducing harmonics can improve the current waveform, so as to reduce harmonics
