Abstract

Overcoming the problem of flooding is not an easy thing, because it is necessary to know the concepts in dealing with it. Thus there is a need to research the source of the problem, one of them is the inundation of the new road Budi Kemuliaan Dumai city with the rigid pavement. the road was previously flooded due to very severe conditions and it was difficult to pass when heavy rains were mixed with ups and downs.this road is built with conditions higher than the face of the channel. This study aims to determine the river water level and road elevation by surveying river water discharge, rainfall, and also conducting a high road surface elevation survey and obtaining the condition of the existing road and road elevation by using water fitting as a survey tool. Based on the survey conducted the results obtained that the road is located at 0.064 meters elevation with coordinates X = 303712,810 meters, Y = 1685459,7200 meters at STA 0 + 000 with riverbank elevation -0,19 meters with X coordinate points X = 303680,980 meters, Y = 1685462,0500 meters. The results obtained that the water rises at an elevation height of 0,13 meters lower than the elevation of the road at the elevation of 0,064 meters. Therefore the road needs to be built against a sedimentation retaining wall of 0.69 m high river from the river bank so that the road does not experience flooding.
