Abstract

At the construction project of Kengam Village bridge, Merbau sub-district, Meranti district, 40 meters of field pile depth, from field sondir data will be searched for single beam pile support and group pole at redesign of pile foundation which more economical and efficient with calculation using Schmertman method and Nottingham (1975). In addition to calculating the elastic decline of the pile that occurred and calculating the efficiency of the pole group with the method of Meyerhoff (1976). The method of data collection is the collection of secondary data obtained directly from the project party. Calculation of carrying capacity based on data sondir by using method Schmertman and Nottingham (1975) at depth of 33 meter obtained by single pole support capacity of 226,29 tons and carrying capacity of a single pole permit is 75,429 ton. while support power of pole group equal to 5093,3 tons and the carrying capacity of the group pole permit is 1697,8 ton. The calculation of the decrease with the Meyerhoff method in the pole group occurred at 16,266 mm. From the result of recalculation of abutment foundation foundation I at Kongkam bridge that analysis of sondir data by using Schmertman and Nottingham method (1975) on 33 meter depth review to the upper structure load received by 713 tons have got the depth of the foundation is safe, efficient and economical with the safety factor used by SF = 3.
