Abstract

In everyday life, electrical energy is needed by humans to carry out activities at home or outside the home. The energy used or absorbed by an electronic and electrical device depends on the power absorbed per unit time. In measuring an electrical energy, first the power, voltage, current and power factor of a load must be known. For this reason, sensors that are able to detect these parameters are needed, one of which is the HLW8012 sensor and the PZEM-004T sensor because they are very easy to find at a relatively cheap price. However, the two sensors have different levels of sensitivity and accuracy. For this reason, research was carried out to distinguish the level of accuracy of the two sensors by using Arduino Uno as a sensor reader. The results of the research show that the PZEM-004T sensor has a fairly good level of accuracy compared to the HLW8012 sensor, with an accuracy rate of 99.56% for power measurement. So the PZEM-004T sensor is highly recommended as a sensor for measuring electrical power.
